In the early 2000’s, YUM! Brands approached Order-Matic to take part in the retro-fit of Taco Bell drive-thru locations across the nation. Taco Bell’s current drive-thru system was dated and lacking the graphic versatility and aesthetic allure that many of their competitors were successfully adopting for their drive-thru systems.
Order Matic and A&W® Revolutionize Drive-In Communications
In the early 1960s, A&W approached Order-Matic with a communications conundrum. Initially, all orders at A&W were taken from customers by a car hop at the car, later graduating to a manual switchboard. Order Matic introduced a priority switchboard creating a “First in, First Out” process. This took pressure off of the operator allowing for faster order taking.
Order Matic Produces “Fresh” Look For Subway® Ordering System
In 2005, Subway approached Order-Matic for help in revamping their drive thru order taking process. The current system was dated and did not allow for easy customer navigation when it came to the order taking process. Subway needed Order-Matic to come up with a more efficient menu navigation system to speed up and simplify order taking.
